Location QR Code Generator
Share exact latitude and longitude with a single scan.
Share exact latitude and longitude with a single scan.
The location QR code generator converts exact latitude and longitude into a geo link that compatible phones can open in a maps application. Add an optional label to identify the entrance, meeting point, trailhead or delivery location shown by the coordinates.
Coordinates are validated and encoded entirely in your browser. JsonKit does not request your current position, upload the values or create a trackable short link, which makes the tool suitable for private sites and locations that do not have a conventional street address.
Location QR codes are useful on invitations, property documents, field-work instructions, event signage and printed directions. Coordinates are precise but not self-explanatory, so include a clear human-readable label beside the code and test the destination before distribution.
Latitude must be between -90 and 90, and longitude between -180 and 180. Use decimal degrees such as 40.6892 and -74.0445; negative values represent south latitudes and west longitudes.
The generator writes a geo URI containing the coordinate pair and repeats it as the map query. When a label is present it is URL-encoded and attached to the query so compatible mapping apps can show useful context.
Scanning behavior varies by operating system and installed map apps. Verify the exported code on a second device and confirm the marker points to the intended entrance or meeting place, not merely the center of a large property.
No. The page does not request location permission. It only uses the latitude and longitude you type into the form.
Use signed decimal degrees, for example 51.5007 for latitude and -0.1246 for longitude. Degrees-minutes-seconds notation is not accepted directly.
The operating system chooses a compatible mapping app or asks the user. JsonKit does not force a particular provider.
Yes. Anyone who scans the static QR image can recover its coordinates, so distribute private-location codes only to the intended audience.
