About Event QR Generator

The event QR code generator turns a title, start time, end time, location and description into an iCalendar event. Guests scan the symbol and their phone can open a calendar-ready preview instead of making them retype the schedule from a poster or invitation.

Calendar data is formatted and encoded locally. JsonKit does not upload guest information, create a public event page or insert a tracking redirect, and the exported image remains independent of this website after it is downloaded.

Use an event QR code on conference signage, wedding invitations, classroom handouts, appointment cards and community flyers. Always scan the final design on a second device before printing so you can confirm the intended time zone, wording and location.

How it works

Create an iCalendar event

The generator writes a compact VCALENDAR and VEVENT payload with UTC start and end timestamps. The title is required, while location and notes are optional, letting calendar apps present a useful event without forcing unrelated fields into the code.

Dates are converted from your device

Date-time inputs are interpreted using the time zone configured on your device and converted to UTC in the QR payload. Check the preview with a second device when an event involves travelers or daylight-saving changes.

Download a permanent static code

SVG is ideal for invitations and large-format printing; PNG is convenient for documents and messages. Because the event is embedded rather than linked, changing the event later requires generating and distributing a new code.

Frequently asked questions

Does scanning automatically add the event?

Usually the calendar app shows a preview first. The person scanning confirms whether to save it, and exact behavior depends on the phone and camera app.

Which time zone does the generator use?

It interprets the entered date and time in your device's current time zone, then writes an unambiguous UTC timestamp into the event payload.

Can I change an event after printing the QR code?

No. This is a static event payload, not a hosted calendar link. Edit the fields and create a new code when the schedule changes.

Is the event information uploaded?

No. Event formatting, QR generation and image export all run in this browser tab without sending the details to JsonKit.
