Changelog
Updates to JsonKit's tools, guides and site, newest first. Each tool page also shows when that tool was last verified. The methodology explains how that check works.
JSON Path Finder and JSON to Table
- Added the JSON Path Finder: click any key or value to copy its path in JSONPath, JavaScript, Python, jq or JSON Pointer form, or search keys and values to list every matching path.
- Added JSON to Table: see a JSON array as a sortable table, with nested rows found automatically, and copy it as an HTML or Markdown table.
Methodology, changelog and disclaimer pages
- Added pages that explain how the tools are built and verified, list what changed and when, and state the limits of the tools.
- Tool pages now show when each tool is next due for review, next to the date it was last verified.
- Guides and glossary terms have a Report an error link, like the tool pages.
- Every page except the home page now shows breadcrumbs, including tool pages on phones.
LLM token counter
- Added the Token Counter: exact token counts for GPT models, estimates for Claude, Llama and Gemini, and an optional input cost column. Model prices were checked against each provider's pricing page on 6 October 2026.
- Every indexed page now has its own preview image for link sharing.
JSON Graph Viewer and tool upgrades
- Added the JSON Graph Viewer, with pan and zoom, collapsible nodes, search, JSONPath copy and SVG or PNG export.
- cURL to Code gained axios, PHP, Java, C#, Rust and Ruby output.
- SQL Formatter now supports 8 SQL dialects and reports parse errors with line and column.
- JSON to Excel shows a table preview and writes one sheet per top-level array.
Tool fixes and new guides
- Reorganized the tool collection and fixed edge cases in several tool engines.
- Re-verified more than 15 tools against their specifications, including the JSON Viewer, JSON Schema Validator, JSONPath Tester and jq Tester.
- Published four new guides: JSON comments, JSON arrays of objects, how to open a JSON file, and a jq cheat sheet.
- Updated the guides on fixing JSON syntax errors and on JSONPath.
JSON editor, CSV to vCard and tool hubs
- Added the JSON Creator / Editor and CSV to vCard tools.
- Added hub pages that group related tools, such as YAML and CSV tools, and linked tools to their guides.
- The site now always redirects to HTTPS.
Tool re-verification and guide updates
- Re-verified the JWT Decoder, UUID / NanoID Generator, Timestamp Converter, OpenAPI Validator, and the event and location QR generators against their specifications.
- Updated the guides on minifying and escaping JSON.
Simpler navigation
- Simplified the home page navigation and footer.
Specification checks for every tool
- Checked every tool's behavior and page copy against the specifications listed on its page.
About, contact and legal pages
- Published the About, Contact, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages.
First guides
- Published the first 21 JSON guides, covering formatting, validation, conversion, JSON Schema, JSONPath and JWTs.
